Explore Our Services

With a multitude of opportunities to fly this cutting edge, top-of-the-range TBM 940, our comprehensive list of services below has something to suit everybody looking to be at the forefront of aviation.

Flight training and transitioning

Whether a prospective new owner or existing pilot looking to rent the aircraft there will be a requirement for training on type. With an expectation of a minimum of ten hours training for any transition (depending of course on your experience, currency, qualifications, confidence etc.), our rental service gives you every opportunity to get to grips with this amazing aircraft.

Instrument ratings and IMC training

The TBM 940 provides an excellent platform for pilot training using the very latest techniques and protocols, such as GNSS based navigation and WAAS/GPS approaches that are required for the most up-to-date PBN (performance based navigation) methods used at the cutting edge of aviation in aircraft management and technology.

Currency
Training/ Renewals

For those ‘lapsed’ pilots looking to either remain current or bring their currency back to a valid state, the TBM 940 is the perfect choice. With a limited selection of aircraft to choose from in the GA marketplace, the TBM 940 provides the opportunity to use the latest ‘glass cockpit’ and avionics suite to reinstate your love of flying.

Avionics Training (specifically the Garmin G3000 Platform)

Get to grips with the very latest technology in avionics suites, the Garmin G3000 that offers a major step change from the Garmin G1000. With significantly more computing power and speed of operation, touch screen management via GTC’s and a host of additional features, the TBM 940 is currently the only aircraft available to rent for transition training to this top of the range G3000 system. Weather Radar Training

With most GA aircraft not equipped with Weather Radar, and yet a profound demand for pilots to be specifically taught best practices in this area, as well as the all-important reading and use of real time data, the new TBM 940 offers the opportunity for pilots to train using the most up-to-date weather radar system. For the first time, this includes the ability to detect turbulence ahead. As pilots are now flying faster and higher and with a ceiling of 31,000ft it means that not all dangerous weather will be below us. The proper use and understanding of current weather radar technology is vital for safe flight and aircraft management.

Rental for Experienced Pilots within the TBM Owners and Pilots Association

We welcome both ex TBM owners as well as those currently in the TBM network looking for ‘flying vacations’ in Europe. From our prime location at Biggin Hill there are countless destinations in and around Europe well within the 1,750 mile range of the aircraft. Get in touch for more information or advice on possible destinations.

Rental for commercial organisations – supply your own pilot

If the cost of commercial travel for your organisation is prohibitive due to unworkable times and locations (e.g. impractical flight times and source/destination airports, coupled with a need for overnight accommodation) the rental of this TBM 940 becomes a very viable option with a same-day, out-and-back solution. We have a list of qualified pilots who could make themselves available.

Professional Pilots and Training Organisations – student or client rental

For any professional pilot or training organisation who has private clients looking for an ‘air taxi’ or those looking for training on currency, renewals, avionics, weather radar training etc, the TBM 940 brings together all of the latest technology giving you the opportunity to provide cutting edge training and experiences for your clients.

Pilots looking to upgrade to a turbo prop

The jet turbine engine on the TBM 940 makes all the difference, especially in speed and power, when compared to a piston engine such as found on Cirrus aircraft. Although extremely competent aircraft with many fantastic features, Cirrus planes offer certain limitations when compared to the TBM, for example the requirement for supplemental oxygen through a cannula, shock cooling when descending quickly and also unpressurised cabins. The TBM 940 however, offers a seemingly natural progression for Cirrus pilots as it too uses Garmin avionics meaning a familiarity with the key ‘buttonology’. For pilots looking to upgrade to a turbo prop engine, what better than the new 940 with a Garmin G3000 platform?

Private Aircraft
